Our office is equipped with a state of the art operating microscope that provide magnification and high output LED illumination. This enables Dr. Gagliardi to completely visualize the internal anatomy of your tooth and enhances both diagnosis and treatment provided. Our microscope is also equipped with digital photography so that we can better document and communicate with patients and referring dentists precisely what Dr. Gagliardi is observing.

Radiograph diagnostics are an essential part of quality endodontic therapy. Our office utilizes an advanced dental imaging system known as CDR (computed dental radiography). This reduces the already-low radiation required for dental radiographs up to 90% when compared to conventional film. An electronic sensor produces computerized radiographs which appear instantly on a chair-side computer screen. These images can then be optimized and reviewed with the patient.

Our operatories are also equipped with sophisticated ultrasonic units which are used to remove microscopic increments of tooth structure and other obstructions within the internal anatomy of the tooth in order to better allow for complete cleaning and shaping during endodontic therapy. Ultrasonics are also used during microsurgical procedures in order to prepare root-end or retrograde fillings.

The cleaning and shaping of the root canal system is aided by the use of instruments composed of a unique nickel-titanium alloy. These instruments have memory with increased flexibility and improve cleaning and shaping of the canal system. Antimicrobial irrigants are utilized in order to remove bacteria and tissue from the system.
